                   Jeremy Fern

Jeremy Fern is Head of City Affairs at the City of London Corporation, the local authority running the ‘Square Mile’ – the financial district at the heart of the Capital.

He deals with issues affecting the competitiveness of the UK’s financial services industry, which is internationally-owned, staffed and managed and for which the City is a worldwide brand name. He is closely involved with international promotion through the work of the Lord Mayor and other inward and outward programmes, and with the encouragement of new areas of City business, including Islamic finance.

Before moving to his current role, Jeremy worked for BI (formerly British Invisibles) and in international equity sales, research and asset management.

He is married with three children. A keen historian of London and its people, he is a School Governor in Tower Hamlets and on the Court of the Farriers Company, one of the City’s ancient Livery companies. Other interests include the Middle East and agriculture.
